BOYS BLUE TEAM EXTINGUISHES THE FRONT ROYAL FLAMES

FRONT ROYAL FLAMES: 30

The Boys Blue team came out on Thursday and played very well downing the Flames 44-30. The scored a season high 31 points in the first half behind the sharp shooting of Justin Virts, Josh Blake, and Brant Bell. Good defense and patience on offense paved the way for a 31-13 halftime lead.

The Flames made a few adjustments in 2nd half and played the Chiefs much closer. However, Powhatan would not allow the Flames to cut into their 1st half lead. The Chiefs were led by Brant Bell with 12 points. Justin Virts had his best game offensively scoring 11 points. Josh Blakes knocked down 9 points. Jonathan Crowley and Chris Clark score 5 points and 4 points respectively. Charlie Lyons chipped in with 2 points and Nick LeHew had 1 point.

The Chiefs are back in action on January 28th when they travel to the YDC to take on Sacred Heart at 4:00.
