BOYS 6TH GRADE BASKETBALL FALLS TO WINCHESTER ACADEMY

The 6th grade boys basketball team took on an older and bigger Winchester Academy team on Thursday. They battled hard in the first half, but lost 29-13. The Chiefs played right along with the Eagles in the first half. Powhatan got themselves back into the game late in the half and found themselves down 10-9. The Eagles came out in the 2nd half and ran their offense through two players and it got the best of the Chiefs. The Eagles outscored the Chiefs 19-4 in the 2nd half.

The Chiefs were led by Tabor Thwing with 5 points. Chipping in two points apiece were Cameron Steeley, Nick Kesler, Graham Smith, and Will Mason-Hill.
