BOYS VARSITY LACROSSE DROPS OPENER TO WAKEFIELD

The Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team opened its season on Thursday with a loss to Wakefield, 8-3. Wakefield score three early goals in the five mintes of the game and the Chiefs were never able to recover. The Owls took a 6-0 lead into halftime.

During the 2nd half, Powhatan got on the board right off of the face-off. Jonathan Crowley scored after winning the draw and cut the defecit to 6-1. The Chiefs would score again with 15:15 to play to daw closer to 6-2 on Crowley's second goal of the game. Seven minutes later, Crowley scored his third goal to make it 6-3. Wakefield added two late goals to seal the win.

The Chiefs are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Highland on Thursday, April 8th for a 4:30 start.
